For Angela’s birthday we went out to the Kaiser Grille, followed by a movie (Enchanted). It was a wonderful evening and the first that really felt like Winter (don’t get me wrong – we ate outside but you take what you can get in the desert and it felt crisp). We went to the movie at my favorite theater on Tahquitz and afterward saw a familiar face in a homeless woman sleeping on a bench outside. I see her often downtown. She is probably 25 and a very pretty woman. She obviously has mental issues and was shivering while sleeping on the bench. We went to the store and bought her some food and a blanket and dropped them off under her as she slept. I am telling you – THAT is the meaning of Christmas. Not presents and crap but true love for each other. It was a wonderful cap to the evening and Angela is simply an amazing woman!
