What a sweet game! In the 46-year history of the Minnesota Vikings, exactly one player ran for 200 yards before Peterson arrived — the master of the spin move, Chuck Foreman, tallied 200 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 24, 1976.
Peterson has already cracked the 200-yard barrier twice in his first eight games as a pro and fell just short of becoming the first running back in NFL history to taste 300 yards on Sunday against the stunned San Diego Chargers.
The rookie sensation did set a new NFL record by rushing for 296 yards as Minnesota waxed San Diego, 35-17, at the Metrodome.
Following the game came the huttub, and then on to poker. Great fun for all!
