Coffee @ the Tram

Why not? I woke up and it was actually sprinkling out here (so that lasted all of a few minutes as it does in the desert). Up on San Jacinto I could see massive dark clouds and lightning and I still needed my coffee… More pictures live here

Shopping at The Garden @ El Paseo

So today Angela and I went to Palm desert and hit the shops on El Paseo. Very classy, very expensive and very nice places. I will type more here when i have time…

San Jacinto Peak

Took a great 7 1/2 hour hike with Angela and her brother Josh. The views were fantastic! Be sure to check the map view to see our route. San Jacinto Peak is easily accessible, as many trails penetrate the San Jacinto Wilderness. The most popular route involves taking the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway from Valley Station (2,643 ft) in Palm Springs up to Mountain Station (8,516 ft). From there, one can easily climb the mountain face via trails. Another method is to hike to the peak from the nearby mountain town of Idyllwild. The climb is popular and not overly strenuous. The Cactus to Clouds trail climbs over 10,000 ft from the Desert Art Museum in Palm Springs to the summit at 10,800 ft [1]. Climbing the mountain’s north face, via the Snow Creek Drainage, is no longer legal as this route passes through private property. The mountain is quite rugged in places, with several outdoor hazards that hikers may be unprepared for, including high altitude, severe weather, steep rock faces, and wild animals. Hikers and climbers die or are harmed every year. From the peak, Mount San Gorgonio can be seen across the San Gorgonio Pass. Also [ ... ]

Pool Time, Rain, Tequila and Song

Angela and her brother Josh came over today and we had an all out barbecue. Lots of time floating in the pool, shared tequila shots with the gardeners, swam in the rain and laid down some tracks in the studio. Good times.

Ahhh – clean carpet!

So I took today and tomorrow off from work and while Angela and Josh are in San Diego today, I rented a Rug Doctor and went to war on the household carpets. They turned out really good too!

My "Not so Typical" MBTI Type

Way too much fun! So I am well versed in the Meyers-Briggs Personality Indicator test (used it like mad in Res Life), but the explanations for each personality type on this page cracked me up (and rang a bit true). Here is my “type” according to the “Not your typical MBTI Types” wisdom: ENTJ: The Evil Overlord The ENTJ is best characterized by his charisma, his ability to grasp complex situations and to think flexibly and creatively, his keen and active intelligence, and his overwhelming desire to crush the world beneath his boot. ENTJs are naturally outgoing and love the company of other people, particulalry minions, henchmen, slaves, and the others they rule with ruthless efficiency. ENTJs usually die at the hand of secret government agents in a fiery cataclysm that destroys their entire underground fortress. Often, Evil Overlords will have a secret clone whose implanted memories contain all the knowledge and ambition of the original, stored in cryonic suspension in a safe location. The clone will appear in a sequel. RECREATION: ENTJs enjoy spending their leisure time in groups, seeking out the company of others with [ ... ]

Beers @ the PS Tram

It’s Friday, I just got off work, I want to go from 108 degrees to 70 in 8 minutes flat and I want dark beer. is that so unreasonable? Turns out it isn’t 🙂 Thank God for the Palm Springs Tram. We had a blast up there and rode back on the very last car. Played poker at the bar, watched the pine trees and made plans with Gloria the bartender for all Vikings games to be viewed from this place. Sweet! Many more photos live here.

Best Food @ Streetfair

Best Food @ Streetfair, originally uploaded by Cobber99. T-Mobile Just a quick note to say that the best food you can get Thursday’s in palm Springs are these Shwarma sandwich’s at the Street Fair for five bucks. It seems like I am on a food kick lately huh? I’m not – just randomness turning into order randomly is all.
